UKATA’s Coffee Morning Raises Vital Funds for Macmillan Cancer Support

On 25th September, UKATA hosted a highly successful Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Markham Vale Environment Centre. This event, part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual campaign, brought together local businesses, UKATA members, industry associates, and the community to raise vital funds for cancer research and support services.

Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by voluntary donations, so fundraising is essential to make sure they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need.

Every Coffee Morning makes a difference, donations from thousands of Coffee Mornings, big and small, help raise vital funds to support the 3 million people in the UK living with cancer, from the moment they are diagnosed, throughout treatment and beyond.

UKATA announced that £135 was raised during the event, best sellers included home baked cookies and muffins and coconut cake with a special kick. Heartfelt thanks were extended to all the star bakers, staff and guests who supported the fundraising efforts. Their generosity and enthusiasm made the event a resounding success.

Nathan Shaw, UKATA’s Marketing Executive, commented, “With the support from the team, we exceeded our previous fundraising efforts. The friendly competition and the bake-off judged by our special guest Jackie Peat added a fun element to the day. Congratulations to bake-off winner Liam with his delectable coconut cake, and a big thanks to our star bakers.”
