UKATA Supports Chesterfield College Careers Event “Unlocking New Possibilities

Following a successful event last year with 35 employers supporting and 130+ individuals, UKATA returned to Chesterfield College Thursday 11th July 2024.

The free event, organised by DWP, Derbyshire County Council, Joined Up Care Derbyshire, Links CVS, Chesterfield College and East Midlands Chamber in partnership with the Derbyshire BME Forum consisted of dedicated areas for both employers and providers offering training and support.

The main focus of this event was to improve diversity and inclusion within the workforce and to unlock the potential within our local communities. UKATA representatives were able to signpost talented individuals to resources from the extensive portfolio of asbestos training to support with future employment.

Speaking of the event Victoria Castelluccio, Marketing & Events Manager said “Unlocking New Possibilities Careers Event provided the perfect platform to connect with local jobseekers, allowing us to support them to achieve their training goals in order to support their future employment prospects”

UKATA, a leading association, is dedicated to enhancing the quality and standards of asbestos training with the aim to shield workers and the public from the hazards of asbestos exposure.

They provide a suite of support services to assist them in accomplishing their training objectives. Their membership encompasses a diverse array of organisations involved in asbestos training, including training providers, asbestos removal contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
