Good Afternoon Members,
I know that many of you are already aware that due to the huge success UKATA has been experiencing during the past few months there has been an urgent need to consider Staff restructuring to support for this.
Last year alone had seen:
- A significant increase in applications for membership
- The launch of three brand new categories of membership: Corporate, Associate and Affiliate
- The launch of UKATA CPD
- The introduction of a UKATA Non-Licensed Syllabus
- The dramatic rise in UKATA’s profile including publicity
- Development of a brand new UKATA website (launch date imminent)
- Attendance at the Health and Safety Expo in London
all of which has a substantial impact on staffing.
The Board gave serious consideration to ways of effectively managing UKATA going forward, subsequently agreeing unanimously to accept a proposed Staff Restructure.
The restructuring process is now complete and I feel sure I can speak on behalf of the entire Team to say we are delighted with the outcome and remain the hard-working committed Team that many members have recognised in the past.
As part of the re-structuring process it has been necessary to define staff roles within UKATA and one of the significant changes will be the management of the membership process.
Debbie Nixon will manage a team of three staff, each of whom will be responsible for their own case load.
There have been a significant trials carried out within the UKATA Team to enable the effective implementation of this new strategy and I am pleased to say the planned launch date has now been set for Monday the 2nd March, 2015.
Each member will be notified of their designated point of contact before the official launch date together with more detailed information as to how system will operate.
My role within UKATA going forward is to support the General Manager and Directors’ workload as well as becoming more involved with strategic planning for the future.
I have attached a copy of the Staffing Organogram for your information which may help you direct your enquiries into the UKATA Office.
I trust members will wholeheartedly support the UKATA Team in their efforts to achieve even greater success in the future with the assurance that our quality of service to members will continue.
Kind Regards,
Gill Lewis
Secretary to the Executive
