UKATA job vacancies now online
E-recruitment is now a reality for members
The UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) has announced that the latest job vacancies for both UKATA and its members can be found on the website at http://www.ukata.org.uk/vacancies/ and the very first employment opportunities are available to view now.
This new section of the website has been developed as another service for UKATA members but is also seen as a service for the asbestos training industry too, giving those working in the world of asbestos one point of call for the latest job opportunities with the most reputable firms and employees in the business.
“Those organisations accepted to be UKATA members have proven themselves to be the best, so it just seems a great idea to have all the vacancies for these top companies in one place,” said Craig Evans, General Manager of UKATA. “Vacancies were posted as soon as this section of the website went live so we are confident this is going to prove a popular development with everyone.”
Current vacancies include roles with UKATA itself for independent auditors and verifiers, while UKATA members Ductclean UK, Sanctus Training and Bradley Environmental have become among the first to post employment opportunities, with more to follow from other members as news of this new job page grows.
“UKATA continues to expand and as this happens we need new recruits too, so this vacancies page of the website is as much for UKATA as our members,” added Craig. “The sheer number of new membership applications we are processing means we too are in the recruitment market and given the response so far, it looks like it is going to prove a success, with those looking to recruit the best employees in the industry and those looking to work with companies with an established reputation for excellence and competence will have a single place to visit and make contact.
Around 5,000 people a year still die from asbestos related illnesses in the UK and as the true scale of the problem sinks in, UKATA is striving to get the message across that professional training can change the way today’s workers operate so they don’t put their lives at unnecessary risk. Too few have been properly trained in how to be aware of asbestos and handle it safely. This is something UKATA is committed to changing.
Any UKATA member interested in taking advantage of the new vacancies page, or any company considering the advantages of becoming a professional, corporate, associate or affiliate member, can contact UKATA head office direct for more details on 01246 824437.
