Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
UKATA will be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning Friday 28th September 2018, 10am – 12noon to raise money for cancer research.
Message from Macmillan Cancer Support: By taking part in a coffee morning, you’re making a huge difference to millions of patients, their families and friends. There are currently 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Macmillan provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care.
UKATA will be getting involved this year by selling homemade baked goods in aid of Macmillan. The UKATA apprentice team have been encouraging team members and surrounding businesses to support the cause.
In 2016 UKATA successfully raised £120 for the charity.
Local businesses and members of the public are invited to attend at Markham Vale Environment Centre, Markham Lane, Markham Vale, Chesterfield, S44 5HY.
