Chris will be delivering his insights at the Practical Safety Theatre, sharing his expertise on the key health and safety challenges facing the industry today.
With over 26 years of experience in construction and demolition, Chris has dedicated his career to improving health and safety standards. At The Health & Safety People (THSP), he leads a team of Health and Safety consultants, ensuring exceptional service for clients across the industry. A Chartered Member of IOSH and Guardian for Building Mental Health, Chris is passionate about addressing significant industry health concerns, particularly mental health and asbestos exposure.
The Health and Safety Event is one of the UK’s leading exhibitions for industry professionals, bringing together prominent figures to discuss best practices and discover innovations in workplace safety. The event will feature a variety of specialist theatres designed to provide important insights into workplace safety.
Chris Ivey will deliver his session “It’s Only Asbestos Cement, It’s Fine and Other Nonsense” on Tuesday 8th April, 10:30am in the Practical Safety Theatre, where attendees can explore hands-on, actionable strategies. His talk will focus on practical solutions to enhance workplace safety, with a particular emphasis on asbestos awareness and mental health in the construction and demolition sectors. His session will provide invaluable insights, particularly for those working in construction, demolition, and hazardous material management, focusing on practical solutions for improving workplace safety.
