UKATA to Attend World Demolition Summit 2024

WDS

UKATA is excited to announce its attendance at The World Demolition Summit 2024, set to take place 6 & 7 November 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The event is created and organised by Demolition and Recycling International magazine, in partnership with the European Demolition Association and with the support of the National Demolition Association.

The World Demolition Summit has grown significantly since its inaugural event in 2009 and is firmly established as one of the major annual events for the demolition industry. Attracting an international audience, the summit comprises an evening networking drinks reception on the 6 November followed by a full day conference and a gala dinner where the annual World Demolition Awards are presented. The conference attracts key industry experts presenting some of the most challenging demolition projects. The speakers offering their expertise and insider knowledge on how they approached projects, equipment used and delivery of the contract.

The event provides an unparalleled opportunity to learn from fellow experts such as Founder of the European Asbestos Forum, Dr. Yvonne Waterman, a frequent speaker at international events, including the UKATA Asbestos Conference earlier this year. Yvonne’s interest in asbestos started when she began researching her comparative Ph.D. on employer’s liability law for occupational accidents and diseases, an interest which she maintains to this day.

UKATA Chief Operating Officer, and EAF Scientific and Advisory Board member, Craig Evans will attend the event in Stockholm, which enhances the associations global presence.

Speaking of the summit, UKATA’s Events & Marketing Manager Victoria Castelluccio says, “We are delighted to have been invited to attend The World Demolition Summit, it’s an incredible opportunity to connect with leaders in the demolition sector and gain valuable insights from experts in the industry.”

UKATA, a leading association, is dedicated to enhancing the quality and standards of asbestos training with the aim to shield workers and the public from the hazards of asbestos exposure.

The association collaborates closely with its members to guarantee that they have access to the latest information, training resources, and industry updates. They provide a suite of support services to assist them in accomplishing their training objectives. Their membership encompasses a diverse array of organisations involved in asbestos training, including training providers, asbestos removal contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.

UKATA is fervent about promoting safe and responsible working practices, committed to working with members and partners to realise a shared vision of protecting workers and the public from the hazards linked with asbestos exposure.
