The UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA), in collaboration with ACS Group, recently hosted an insightful webinar exploring the physical, psychological, and financial impacts of implementing effective workplace wellbeing policies.
The webinar which took place in April 2025, was led by Emma Willey MA, FRSA, Managing Director of ACS Group, who brought over 30 years of experience in the Health & Safety industry. Emma shared her deep-rooted understanding of wellbeing in the asbestos arena, drawing from her extensive background in testing, PPE, microscopy, training, auditing, and consulting. She provided valuable insights into pioneering wellbeing practices within the asbestos sector, offering practical strategies for fostering a healthier and more sustainable working environment.
Reflecting on the success of the event, UKATA’s Events & Marketing Coordinator, Kelly-Anne Smith stated, “Organising this session, was high on my list of priorities, with workplace wellbeing being a crucial factor in improving productivity, safety, and overall job satisfaction. The webinar attracted a positive turnout of industry professionals, all keen to enhance their approach to workplace wellbeing and gain expert guidance on improving health and safety practices.
