Government unveils £200 million Sustainable Innovation Fund
The Government’s new Sustainable Innovation Fund opens for applications today. The fund will provide £200 million in grants to support innovative UK businesses drive forward cutting-edge new tech and recover from the impacts of coronavirus.
UK Export Finance (UKEF) publishes its 2020-2024 Business Plan
The UKEF 2020-2024 Business Plan sets out UKEF’s strategy over the next four years, including their role in the UK’s recovery from the impact of coronavirus. It reflects and renews the government’s ambition for the UK to become an exporting powerhouse, overcome international obstacles to UK business and strengthen trade relationships with our partners around the world.
New measures to help relieve the burden on businesses
The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Bill received royal assent on 25 June 2020. The new measures (such as temporary easements for Company House filings and changes to the insolvency framework) will relieve the burden on businesses during the coronavirus outbreak and allow you to focus efforts on continuing to operate.
Government Business Support
Businesses facing disruption due to the spread of the virus can visit the dedicated business support hub. Coronavirus (Covid-19) support is available to employers and the self-employed. You may be eligible for loans, tax relief and cash grants. Use this business support finder to see what support is available for you and your business.
