UK Asbestos Training Association (“UKATA”) announces the launch of a brand-new website which is tipped to be the “go to” site for the asbestos industry.
Established in 2008, UKATA has gone from strength to strength over the last decade and now numbers 188-member organisations throughout the UK.
2018 is a year of new initiatives and celebration for the thriving association, who announced the appointment of Craig Evans as Chief Operating Officer in July.
“I am extremely pleased to announce the launch of the new website for the benefit of members and the wider industry. The new website reflects the UKATA brand and the prominent position we hold within the industry today. Many new and improved features are now available on the UKATA website including; support networks, training portfolio, improved training provider search facility and a much faster and responsive site. I would encourage everyone to take a look and provide feedback to help us continue developing the website.” says Craig Evans, COO.
Asbestos is responsible for more than 5,000 deaths in the UK each year and the new UKATA website (www.ukata.org.uk) provides information on local victim support groups amongst other support networks, for those who are affected by mesothelioma and asbestos related diseases.
The new website has been developed on a significantly improved platform which increases the speed and operation of the site. The new interactive site has been designed with the user in mind, with straightforward search facilities and easy to navigate functions across the site.
A simple sign up function is available should users want to find out more regarding the latest news within the industry.
Phase 2 development of the website is currently underway and will bring many new features, including a dedicated Members Hub.
