UKATA return to ESS Expo 2024 in Birmingham 11 – 12 September, with approved member Wayne Bagnall set to address the audience in the Contamination and Land Remediation Technical Stage.
Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS), the world-leading event for the environmental services industry, will be gathering the sector’s top players to showcase the latest innovative solutions, designs, technologies, and services.
Returning to the NEC in Birmingham on 11-12 September, this year’s event will welcome over 550 exhibitors including big names such as Defra, Biffa, Engie, Adler and Allen, British Plastics Federation, Honeywell, OfWat, UKATA and Mercedes plus other pioneering companies such as AEROCOMPACT, RSK Group, Voom AI, ACCIONA, and more.
UKATA member, Wayne Bagnall’s session, Wednesday 11th September 4pm, “Expect the Unexpected” will be a montage of asbestos and demolition projects over the years where contamination has been an issue, and the challenges and solutions when dealing with these.
Wayne operates a specialist asbestos and demolition safety consultancy; Wayne Bagnall Consulting with a small team providing advice, training, and support to ensure safe and cost-effective projects.
In the 1970s, Wayne studied chemistry & biochemistry for five years attaining a City & Guilds full technological certificate equivalent to degree level. He continues his education in management and safety gaining membership with the Chartered Institute of Management (MCMI), a qualified demolition engineer with the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE), and a corporate membership with IOSH.
In 2000, Wayne was one of the first four people to be awarded a Master's Degree in Construction (Health & Safety) Management at John Moores University Liverpool.
At stand number CLR-A31, UKATA representatives will be showcasing their extensive training portfolio. UKATA courses including (but not limited to) Asbestos Awareness in Soils Made Ground, Management of Asbestos in Soil and Made Ground and Control of Silica and Other Workplace Dust. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore the full portfolio and speak to the experienced membership department about joining the association as a training provider or associate.
