Roles and Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you’ll be part of a dynamic, experienced team driving growth and diversification. As a key player in our strategic expansion, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting Our Services: Highlight and offer our comprehensive range of services, including asbestos surveys, expert consultancy, asbestos removal, air quality testing, water hygiene management, tailored training programs, and workplace occupational hygiene solutions.
  • Lead Generation & New Contracts: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, securing new contracts and nurturing relationships with clients across the North East and Central Scotland.
  • Collaborative Cross-Selling: Work closely with department managers to cross-sell our diverse portfolio of services, maximising revenue and service offerings to clients.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial client relationships to drive revenue growth and ensure customer retention.
  • Strategic Campaigns: Partner with the marketing team to provide insights and support on campaigns designed to attract new clients and business opportunities.
  • Achieving Sales Targets: Maintain and manage your pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed annual sales targets.

Person Specification:

We’re seeking an ambitious individual with a passion for business development and a proven track record of success, particularly in the asbestos consultancy and water hygiene compliance industries. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience in business development within the asbestos consultancy and water hygiene compliance services.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and maintain strong relationships at all client levels.
  • Proactive Sales Approach: A strong ability to generate revenue through proactive lead generation and client engagement.
  • IT Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of MS Office applications. Full Driving License: A valid driving licence is essential for this role.

What We Can Offer You:

  • Competitive Salary: Basic salary up to £37,000 per annum, based on skills and experience, with on-target earnings of £50,000 per annum.
  • Benefits Package: Company vehicle or car allowance, company-paid healthcare (after 3 years’ service), company pension (3% employer contribution), and contractual sick pay.
  • Generous Holidays: 22 days’ holiday, rising to 25 after 3 years, and 27 days after 5 years, plus 8 statutory bank holidays. We also offer a paid day off for your birthday.
  • Hybrid Working: 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working arrangements available to suit your lifestyle.
