Asbestos Management: Upcoming Webinar and Training Courses Duty to Manage Asbestos: Who Holds the Responsibility?

Managing asbestos effectively remains a critical responsibility for businesses, landlords, and duty holders across the UK. Despite stringent regulations, gaps in asbestos management persist, leading to potential health risks and non-compliance issues. To address these challenges, UKATA is continuing its efforts to provide essential guidance and training on the subject.

Following the success of the UKNAR webinar, Duty to Manage: Closing the Gaps in Asbestos Management, held in February 2024, UKATA is pleased to announce that additional webinars and training opportunities are on the horizon. These upcoming sessions will delve deeper into the complexities of asbestos management, offering practical insights to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Why Asbestos Management Still Matters

Asbestos-related diseases remain a significant concern, with exposure risks still present in many buildings constructed before the year 2000. Despite legal obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, many organisations struggle to implement effective management strategies. Issues such as outdated asbestos registers, lack of awareness, and inadequate training continue to pose risks.

UKATA is committed to closing these gaps by providing accessible and up-to-date training. By attending UKATA’s upcoming webinars and courses, professionals can stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in asbestos management.
