In June 2018, UKATA informed members that ACAD successfully gained funding to allow individuals to undertake training to become an A1 Assessor, which is a requirement to access NVQ standards.
As a result ACAD were able to offer a significant reduction of 50% off the cost of the training to allow 20 LARCs and Commercial Training Providers to become A1 Assessors.
Several UKATA Members are currently undertaking assessor training and were in attendance at The Asbestos Industry NVQ Centres Standardisation Meeting, hosted by UKATA 17th January 2019.
